Description
We offer glutaraldehyde solution which is used as a universal fixative for electron microscopy. Our glutaraldehyde is EM grade purified using all-glass vacuum-distillation and electron microscopy to make it pure, free from polymers and other contaminants. Each lot is tested, assayed, sealed under dry nitrogen and properly refrigerated in our lab prior to shipment. Glutaraldehyde has to be stored properly to ensure its long shelf life. We offer glutaraldehyde in a wide range of percentages to simplify mixing procedures and avoiding waste.

Precautions:
EM grade aqueous glutaraldehyde if stored in volume greater than 100ml, with repeated defrosting and recapping will polymerize in time. This reduces the absorption peak from 280nm to 235nm. Presence of polymers reduces the efficiency of Glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent preventing proper fixation.
